The Feast of Trumpets falls on the first day of the seventh month. It's a Holy day that is meant to be filled with joy and triumph. It’s celebrated by blowing trumpets and gathering together to rejoice and feast.

Revelation 11

15. And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Where did the Feast of Trumpets come from?

The first day of the seventh month was a day of joy and victory that was commemorated by the blowing of Trumpets. Trumpets were used to gather God's people together or sound an alarm to battle.

Joshua and Jericho

Joshua fought the battle of Jericho when the Israelites entered the promise land and they destroyed the high walls of the city with  seven trumpet blasts. During the final trumpet all the people gave a great shout and the walls came tumbling down.

How does the Feast of Trumpets represent Jesus?

When Jesus returns it will be with the sound of the seventh trumpet blast and a great shout. It will be a time of joy and victory because our Lord and Savoir has returned.
